Candle Moment: What’s a Candle Moment?

Posted by: Greenwoman2007 on: October 1, 2007

This is a regular series here at Little Seeds. It is a meme, meaning each week, I encourage others to participate either here in comments or on their own websites.

Here’s the meme rules:

  • Use the button displayed here on your meme posts.
  • Practice link love. Put a link to my current week’s post in your new post and leave a link here to your latest post in the comments section.
  • Put a copy of the rules or a link to these rules in each of your meme posts.
  • Please label and write your post on one of these four topics:
    • Wisdom Fire: This is the stuff you embody or are trying to embody. The stuff that spreads light into the world…the stuff that when you share it, makes others think and feel more deeply.
    • Sangha:Any topic relating to creating community or sustaining community; especially conflict resolution and peace studies.
    • Healing Journey: I’m not talking wise woman stuff….techniques and all that. By healing, I mean, your experience of it. I want to hear about where your healing journey is taking you. I want to hear about the trials and triumphs of your journey…your gratitude about it….and where you’ve sought and found help.
    • A Healing Circle: As in, people can put names in for receiving healing from you….and you actually send it. If this is what you’ll do, please DO NOT pray for specific outcomes. We cannot know what people actually need. Sometimes healing is letting go, loss or even death. Just send the energy and let outcomes unfold through their natural course…trusting to Universal Love and the wisdom of the highest self involved. This is not an excuse to drum business for your healing services! This is free distance healing only please. If you don’t want to share healing for free, then this meme is not the right forum for you! I’ll require you to take all references and buttons down that refer to this meme if I see any business being done regarding this meme! The purpose of a healing circle is to promote wholeness for the world and to support healthy sangha. In that spirit, I hope to see wonderful things happen from this meme!

A bit of history on this meme…

I started this series on my blog former Defining Spiritual Presence, hosted on Blogger. The first post went up on 2/17/07. I did the post on our troops in Iran and Iraq, asking for healing to be sent to troops and my entry that week was inspired by a post written by my friend Ana who wrote an illuminating political commentary a few days before that touched me deeply.

I decided that I would not import all those posts from Defining. I decided to consider them answered prayers…a beautiful part of the wake as the boat passes. In this moment…I sink roots deeply into the now and into the future…the roots of prayers answered, the faith this experience of manifestation spawns and the hope that floats gently inside each person who reads this and who I hope will think…ah…The power of prayer is here and its sprouting little seeds, broadcasting them into the garden…

May we create more answered prayers with this meme.

This is a wonderful idea. I wish I had the time to keep up on all this (and the know-how to add buttons and linky things…oh, and while we’re at it my new computer which is supposed to be here in 3 weeks [yes! THREE weeks...argh!] so that I can spend a little less time waiting on pages to load and a little more time learning stuff).

Good morning Anjolie!!! *grins*

((hugs)) I like it when you can say hello. Perhaps when you’ve got your pc up and running, we can play here more.

The state of mind which enables a man to do work of this kind is akin to that of the religious worshiper or the lover; the daily effort comes from no deliberate intention or program, but straight from the heart. Photobucket
